Chocolate, Champagne, and Charity

On November 5, 2011 HGI will honor Gwen and Ed Emmett for their commitment to Mental Health with our Champions for Change award. Gwen and Ed Emmett are true champions for mental health, especially children’s mental health. Their work in this regard, with the many initiatives that they have supported and been active participants with, include: the Joint County/City Commission for Children; the Harris County Juvenile Board; and, the Juvenile Detention Alternatives Initiative. In addition advocating through editorials in the Chronicle and bringing the Big Tent Conference to Houston, among many other activities, are well worthy of this honor.

Mark your calendars and make plans to join us for a lovely evening of fabulous music, gastronomique bites and decadent desserts.
