“I began volunteering earlier this year and I’m really enjoying it. As a foreign national, I’m unable to work in the U.S. and coming to the Houston Galveston Institute as a volunteer helps me keep my work skills up to scratch, plus there are lots of opportunities to learn new stuff. The Institute does such good work within the local community, reaching out to people in need of all ages, from very young children to seniors. It has a wonderful, warm atmosphere and I find working here inspiring and rewarding. I help out mostly with administration, but I know there are lots of other ways to get involved. The team is so friendly and very flexible, so I’d say, if you’re interested and you have some hours to spare, give HGI a call!”
