Carl, is a protégé of the legendary Albert King. He has been officially recognized and inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame. He was personally taught by Albert King and played in his band for a number of years. Carl has played with too many blues greats to name them all, but some include Buddy Guy, James Cotton, Koko Taylor, Eddie Kendricks, Bobby Womack, John Mayall, John Mayer, Little Milton, Pinetop Perkins and many others. It is a great honor to have him play for us! He will play 2 sets beginning at 8 PM.
“I saw him play at the Lucerne Blues Festival and he had this incredible combination of powerful blues voice and world-class guitar licks. He really rocked the festival. Jeff Abrams, Blues Appreciator.
Gail Best, a Texas star, will be opening the show, and is a crowd favorite. This woman was born with a blue’s heart, and she is what the Blues’ are about. Do not miss this awesome opening act. Her newest album will be out this fall and but her single will be available before this event.
